Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that clean and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet mess in one go and without the need to switch between devices. They also can save storage space compared to having two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will have excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models with docks that let them automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks and machine-wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's among the easiest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and a quick-start guide will have you up and running with a clean and complete dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in no time at all.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops are spun at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, as well as a selection of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you select the type of cleaning you want for each room.
For instance, you can decide to let the robot take care of a thorough clean-up in the kitchen and living rooms but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models are unable to. The only issue it has is that it tends to crash into walls and objects at full speed. However, an instant glance at the history of cleaning within the app will show you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading and the obstacles it's avoided.
The docking station has an LCD display that indicates the time when maintenance is required, such as emptying debris and washing the water tank that is dirty. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank, using a 600ml bottle of eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop is able to run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can last 136 mins in normal mode, prior to needing recharging or returning to the base. You can view the entire cleaning information in the app, which is well laid out and is easy to comprehend, though we would have liked to be able distinguish between a vacuum only or mop and vacuum clean when looking at a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's top robot vacuum and mop. The model this year has an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This increases the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to pull up small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners could be unable to pick up.
As with the other two Roborock models I've tried the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that can help to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things an extra step by adding a dual camera which can detect objects and determine whether they're an object that is a wall or a different surface. It can then automatically change its path and clean around the objects without a pause.
It's the most expensive model I've tried however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek, angular style is eye-catching and it has just three physical buttons that include the power button that also resumes cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock and a home button that can send the robot back to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin automatically refills.
The only issue I encountered to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if necessary) however, it's a hassle to take off the mount itself for manual washing. I've noticed that any plush carpet that the robot passes will be in contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, which can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can configure and manage these via the Roborock app which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also lets you to schedule cleanings and monitor battery life and component maintenance. You'll need to go through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. This is a shame considering how well-performing it is otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a market leader with innovative features, superior suction power and cutting-edge mowing capabilities. Its innovative design lets users to tailor and effectively clean while saving time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful choices available. This powerful vacuum removes dry debris, including pet hair and crumbs. It also comes with a top-quality mop that leaves floors sparkling clean, even with a wet pad. In addition the X40 is extremely quiet during operation, only producing occasional squeaks of sound when switching between modes or completing self-maintenance tasks.
Another notable feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brushes, that allows it to reach hard-to-reach corners and intimately clean furniture such as table and chair legs. It also allows the robot to get under furniture with a low profile, making it a great option for apartments or condos with tight spaces. The side brush automatically tilts down when it spots wet spots. automatic hoover is a wonderful feature that allows the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through repeated back-and-forth movements.
In contrast to other robots that are limited to one task, the X40 can mop and vacuum simultaneously. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas with carpet and mop only hard floors, and reverse the process. It can be controlled using the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.
The app is easy to use and intuitive and the X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are easy to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, see mapping and floor plans, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress, and alert you when it is finished.
The X40 is easy-to-maintain and offers numerous convenient features, making it an ideal choice for busy families. The docking station can automatically empty the dustbin, and clean the mop pads and refill them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It can also tell when the mop pad is filled and notify you before it overflows, thus reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's one of the most expensive models available and comes with a lot of additional features that set it apart. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub that uses two high-speed mops to clean floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and it has a high maximum suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, small dirt particles and pick up spills and soiled spots.
The mop is cleaned and dried in the base station every time they are used. This is an excellent feature as it stops the growth of odours and mould in storage, and it also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. This is a feature we've yet to see on other robot vacuum and mop models, and it could be a good method of keeping your home clean for longer.
There's a plethora of settings on offer that include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a variety of preferences. The app lets you set these preferences or you can use the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and offers many options to customize the cleaning process, and there are numerous features that other robots do not include, such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles, rather than using a manual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most elegant robots we've seen on the market, with metallic and white design that is elegant and stylish. It's a bit heavier than the other two-in-one robots in this list - at around 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy, and it feels robust and well built. The mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mop works well on hard floors as well as in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them reach up to 2mm below baseboards.
