The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.
He tests and evaluates cleaning equipment, focusing on mopping and robot vacuum combos. Multitaskers can be a great option for those who are looking to get rid of mopping off their list of things to do. Some have great mapping and obstacle avoidance. Some even wash and refill mopping pads for a hands-free cleaning.
The Eufy S1 Pro
This is the model you need to select if you're looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than other options which makes it more maneuverable in tight corners or under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it one of my top navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can run longer in turbo). It can even return to the dock to replenish its battery part way through a clean.
It's quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and the hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in one go. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to pick up dirt, pet hair, and droppings with ease. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it encounters rugs and the two side brushes help pull out dirt from corners.
The mopping performance, while still impressive, isn't as good. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high rate and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scrubbing up dirt and stains. I've also noticed that the front arms protrude out slightly more than other robots, which is useful to get into tight corners and along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to collect larger pieces of debris, like books and broken toys.
Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't create more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping and is separate from the vacuum. It is easy to install and works well. However, if you are buying this robot vacuum solely to mop, you will need to be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a wide range of features.
The device comes with an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the home and locate furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and efficiently. This will ensure a thorough and consistent clean and is also fast.
In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can reach an array of surfaces. These include corners and baseboards as well as other hard-to-reach areas. The side brush can be stretched to reach the floor near to the walls and other fixtures. Additionally, the mop pads can be washed and dried to avoid build-up and lessen the odors.
App-based customization is another notable feature. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the intensity of its suction and select between a back-andforth or more randomized pattern. You can also set the number of passes it will make, which will determine the speed at which the device can traverse your home. You can also choose to disable the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.
This device is expensive however it has many useful features. It's important to note that it incurs regular costs in the form of mopping equipment and maintenance. For instance brushrolls need to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pads must be changed every three months.
This robotic vacuum cleaner has a high Amazon rating and includes an array of physical automation features. what is it worth comes with a power button which doubles as a 'Clean button' as well as a 'Home button that allows it to go back home after cleaning. It also has a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the trash bin and refills its water tank to mop and washes and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone looking to keep their home tidy without spending too much time doing chores. It's a top-performing device, smart navigation, and a long battery life that allows you to keep your home tidy with minimal effort.
The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, which means it can handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot has two modules: a combined dry bin and water reservoir and a separate mopping module with microfiber pads that snap into and out of the way. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping but it does mean you don't need to worry about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.
The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming as well as mopping. Its best feature is its precise floorplan map, which it utilizes when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option of setting "No-Go zones" as well as virtual barriers, which can help to keep specific areas of your home from being swept with mop.
We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in removing pet hair. It was able to collect many of the hair our cats shed, and even made it into the nooks and crannies on our stairs, where other robots had struggled. It was fairly quiet and had some lovely jingles to signalled when it was starting or finishing its work.
The app was too easy and you had to change the modules each time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app isn't able to hold multiple maps, which can be a pain when you live in a house that has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want an intelligent robot that can do both mopping and vacuuming.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. However, it has certain unique features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni is notable for its massive dock that serves as an charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses the 2.5-liter dustbin and the 2.5 milliliter dust bin.
The base also has a variety of buttons to control the system. These allow you to manually start cleaning, recall the robot, or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Press two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents worried about their children playing with the vacuum.
Similar to other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more precise in finding objects.
Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally get caught up in an obstruction, such as a power cord draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and stops working until you remove it manually. This was a rare occurrence, but frustrating nonetheless, because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert on its application.
The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad however, the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between uses. This could lead to mildew and mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a huge difference from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an excellent choice for the market that is dominated by boxy units.
